A fond farewell to Oberpfaffenhofen

Release date:
December 2020
If you’re flying to Munich in southern Germany, then we will be bidding a fond farewell to Munich Oberpfaffenhofen (OBF/ EDMO) at the end of 2020. However, alternative locations for refuelling close to the Bavarian capital include Augsburg Airport (AGB/ EDMA) and Munich Airport (MUC/ EDDM).

Located around 60km from Munich, Augsburg is a popular hub for business and general aviation traffic. There are various facilities for passengers, as well as on-site customs and immigration clearance and a crew room. Both Jet A-1 and Avgas are available at this location.

And while Munich Airport is the second busiest airport in Germany, it also has a dedicated General Aviation Terminal, so private aviation customers are well catered for. With everything located close together, the handling processes are quick and efficient, and aircraft can be maintained or parked in the adjacent hangars for extended periods. The airport is located 30km from the city centre and Jet A-1 is available here.

For more information on either location click here and as with all our locations you can see pricing and order fuel in advance on the RocketRoute MarketPlace app.
