The airport serves as a gateway to the region’s famous Somme battlefields. It’s also just a one-hour drive from the city of Lille and a 1 hour 30-minute drive from Paris, so it’s a good alternative for those travelling to the French capital.

 

Located close to the Airbus factory in nearby Méaulte, the airport is frequently used by the aircraft manufacturer to transport parts and has a runway large enough to accommodate Airbus’ famous Beluga cargo aircraft.

 

Conveniently for Sterling Card customers the airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and it’s also the only airport in the Somme with a customs office.
