There’s nothing like a Christmas market to give you all the festive feels. So, from Salzburg in Austria to Helsinki in Finland, here’s our round-up of Christmas markets where you can stock up on tasty treats, artisanal gifts and handmade decorations

Dating back as early as the 15th century, Salzburg’s Christmas market on Dom and Residenzplatz is full of traditional charm. Stock up on traditional and artisanal gifts and decorations, as well as plenty of tasty treats.

 

Basel, Switzerland

Basel’s Christmas market features charming festive stalls and plenty of delicious local delicacies. A highlight is the Big Wheel offering mesmerising views over the twinkling Christmas lights of the city.
