Great to see so many of you drop by our stand during this year’s European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) and hear Thorbjon Larsson on the sustainable aviation jet fuel panel talk about how we supplied sustainable aviation jet fuel to some of the planes who flew in from Caen and Arlanda. We were excited to host the ‘world’s best pilot’ Martin Šonka, who’s the current Red Bull Air Race Champion. Martin was a headline speaker at the Flight data/performance monitoring and review (FDM) session and later gave a light-hearted interview on our stand. Afterwards he met many of you who were asking him how fuel gave him a critical edge during a race.

Ahead of the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, we were delighted to support the business aviation community as they discussed the path forward for the continued adoption of sustainable aviation jet fuel (SAJF) in Europe.
During the event, which was held at TAG Farnborough Airport, Tom Parsons, Air BP’s biojet commercial development manager, joined a panel of speakers calling for increased collaboration and the broader adoption and availability of sustainable aviation fuel. The four pillars identified for achieving the ambitious goal of a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050, relative to 2005 were: more efficient operations; continuing infrastructure improvements, market-based measures; and technology including the development of alternative aircraft fuels.
From 16-19 June, we’re excited about attending and supporting the 91st Annual American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) conference and exposition in Boston. We will be co-exhibiting at the show with Lightsource, Europe’s largest solar developer and showcasing our technical expertise in terms of engineering support, fuel farm management and finance solutions. Our team will also be on hand to explain how we are supporting our customers and airports in achieving lower carbon solutions.
We started working with Lightsource nearly two years ago with the aim of driving the growth in solar development worldwide and are currently exploring more opportunities to install solar panels at airports. Some of the sites where Lightsource has installed its solar panels have also become havens for wildlife, including bees. As a result we’ve even been able to make our own Lightsource honey, so make sure you drop by our booth to find out more about our collaboration with Lightsource, planned US airport solar farm projects and to pick up a complimentary jar of honey!
This year’s Cessna Meeting for pilots and friends will take place from 12-14 July at Jena-Schöngleina Airfield in Germany. Highlights for this year’s meeting will include pilot training, Jeppesen workshops, a static display of different Cessna models from the last few decades and traditional Thuringian cuisine. We’re proud to be supporting the event and look forward to seeing you there.
We’ll be attending this year’s AeroExpo UK, which will be taking place over three days (13-15 June) at Wycombe Air Park in Buckinghamshire. Highlights will include demo-flights on the latest aircraft, an aerobatic air display, seminars and evening entertainment.
We are also delighted to be supporting the Austrian Airfest (15-16 June, airfest.at) in Vöslau, which is themed ‘wings and wheels’. It's an exciting event that embraces both the aviation and automobile industries and one that we’re delighted to be supporting. What’s more the Airfest is part of Aviation Expo Austria with visitors expected to attend from across the region and further afield.
If you’re attending either AeroExpo or Austrian Airfest, drop by our stand to catch up on our latest developments and enter our prize draw to win one of four pairs of tickets for the Hungarian stop of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship (13-14 July).
