Then make sure Albert-Picardie Airport (BYF/ LFAQ) near Meaulte is on your radar. A gateway to the region’s famous Somme battlefields, the airport is also used for the transportation of Airbus aircraft parts from the company’s factory, which is located nearby.

 

If you’re travelling to the French capital, then Albert-Picardie is a good alternative airport to those in the city, as it’s just 1h30 from Paris. It’s also just one hour’s drive from the city of Lille.


Conveniently for general and business aviation customers, the airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it’s also the only airport in the Somme with a customs office. What’s more, UL91 is available here, in addition to Jet A-1 and Avgas.
