For those looking for a taste of paradise, the breathtakingly beautiful French Mediterranean island of Corsica is a feast for all the senses. Located in the northwest of the island Calvi (CLY/ LFKC) is a little gem in Corsica’s crown

 

Nestled between an impressive medieval citadel and a sparkling crescent-shaped bay that’s lined by a magnificent beach, Calvi’s streets are awash with upmarket boutiques and brasseries while the marina is brimming with luxury yachts. It’s long been a popular tourist hotspot during the summer months but autumn is also a great time to visit when the temperatures are slightly cooler and the beaches less crowded. 

 

Calvi Sainte Catherine Airport is conveniently located just 6km southeast of the city and is open from 7am to 9pm during the summer (21 March to 20 September) and from 7am to 5pm during the winter (21 September to 20 March). Both Jet A-1 and Avgas are supplied here and out of hours fuelling is available on request. As the third busiest airport on the island, this is a great choice for Sterling Card customers wanting to avoid the crowds.
