Be part of something bigger

At bp, we believe in creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. As a key player in the aviation industry, we work collaboratively through joint ventures to deliver safe and reliable fuel operations for some of the largest airports across Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking an influential leader with strong safety and operational expertise to join our team as the Joint Venture Lead – AsPac. This role combines the opportunity to champion safety excellence, drive governance, and influence commercial decisions to support bp’s business performance and long-term success.

Your role and impact

As the Joint Venture Lead, you will:

Lead operational safety and governance delivery for non-bp operated aviation joint ventures (NOJVs).

Represent bp as a key stakeholder in JV forums, ensuring operational excellence and governance standards are achieved.

Drive safety leadership, ensuring alignment with bp’s HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) standards and risk management processes.

Influence strategy and commercial outcomes, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial results.

Take ownership of JV P&L delivery, ensuring strong performance and continuous improvement.

Serve as the interface between bp’s operations and commercial teams, contributing to collaborative and seamless delivery.

What we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in an operational or supply-related role, ideally in a downstream business or similar industry.

A proven track record in leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.

Strong knowledge of safety leadership principles and a passion for operational excellence.

Experience with commercial agreements (e.g., leases & agency agreements) is desirable but not crucial.

The ability to navigate complexity and make decisions in ambiguous situations while driving tangible commercial outcomes.

Outstanding relationship-building skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and influence key stakeholders.

We value individuals who bring analytical strengths, a focus on detail, and the ability to connect strategic thinking with operational delivery.

Why join us?

At bp, we recognize that people are our most valuable asset. We empower our teams with opportunities for growth, flexibility, and leadership in a supportive environment.

Be part of a global team driving innovation and excellence in aviation operations.

Access development programs that help you achieve your personal and professional goals.

Join an organization committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion with clear pathways for success.

Enjoy a flexible, dynamic, and collaborative workplace where your voice is valued.

Ready to make a difference?

If you are an experienced leader who values safety, collaboration, and strategic influence, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape the future of bp’s aviation business across ANZ.
