bp Australia to support Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds with three-year sponsorship

Release date:
8 February 2022
As long-term supporters of the transport industry in Australia, bp is proud to announce entering a three-year sponsorship agreement with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds to help improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes in the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries in Australia.
  • bp is teaming up with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds as a Foundational Sponsor.
  • The partnership will give Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds access to bp’s existing truck stop network – one of the largest in the country – to connect with Australian truck drivers.
  • The sponsorship is underpinned by bp’s global aim to enhance the wellbeing of employees, contractors and local communities.

bp today announced it will be supporting Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (HHTS) as the exclusive Foundational Sponsor for Oil, Gas and Energy after signing a three-year sponsorship agreement. The partnership will allow HHTS to continue delivering programmes and resources that aim to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes in the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries.

bp operates the nation’s leading truck stop network with over 500 sites, providing safe and clean facilities for truck drivers to refuel and refresh.

The new partnership will allow HHTS to leverage bp’s network and deliver on-site programmes to reach truck drivers and Australians working in the trucking industry who might not otherwise have access to support.

Frédéric Baudry, president, bp Australia and SVP fuels & low carbon solutions, Asia Pacific, said: “Transport workers play an essential role in our

operations and are vital to Australia’s supply chains, and we’re incredibly proud to be supporting the mental health and physical wellbeing of these hard-working individuals at our truck stops and travel centres.

“bp’s global sustainability frame includes an aim to enhance the wellbeing of employees, contractors and local communities. We believe innovative ‎programmes and partnerships such as this are extremely important in ensuring Australia’s valued truck drivers, many of whom are also our customers and logistics partners, can access critical health support and services while on the road so they can continue to keep our nation moving.”

Naomi Frauenfelder, HHTS CEO, said: “We are extremely delighted to welcome bp on board as a Foundational Sponsor. Their contribution to the Foundation allows us to accelerate key projects and provides us with the opportunity to reach drivers while they’re out on the road, providing access to tools and support.”
