Petrojarl Foinaven FPSO

Britoil Limited has submitted, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, a draft decommissioning programme for the removal of the Petrojarl Foinaven floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and related infrastructure, in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals.

 

The items/facilities covered by the Foinaven FPSO offstation decommissioning programme are the removal of Petrojarl Foinaven FPSO vessel and its associated mooring systems, risers and dynamic umbilicals.

The Foinaven field is situated approximately 120 miles west of the Shetland Isles within the Faroes/Shetland Trough.

Production from the field was suspended in 2021.
