Our history is full of discoveries, starting in 1908 with oil found in a rugged part of Persia after a long and difficult search

Since then, discoveries large and small have fuelled our progress. The company that started out at the turn of the twentieth century as Anglo Persian Oil Company is now BP. Over the past century BP has grown to become a global energy company, providing large quantities of oil while looking for alternative sustainable energy sourced for the world of tomorrow.

Apart from oil exploration and extraction, we also market products derived from crude oil such as petrochemicals, fuels and lubricants. Driven by the same high standards of the energy exploration initiatives, our lubricant brands have established their credentials over decades and are the world’s leading motor oil brands in markets they are present in.
