WA Wildlife

Over the past 12 years, we have invested in programmes at WA Wildlife. This solid partnership funds the construction and maintenance of a variety of wildlife enclosures for turtles, joeys, marsupials and birds of prey

The partnership also gives our employees volunteering opportunities to rehabilitate wildlife.

 

Working under the guidance of the centre's directing veterinary surgeon, registered wildlife rehabilitator or an experienced volunteer, our employees volunteer their time to help with:

 

  • preparing food for a variety of animals
  • cleaning cages, vivariums, aviaries or other housing facilities
  • washing up of dishes, laundry, perches and equipment
  • sweeping, mopping of centre facilities
  • assistance with handling large animals
  • assistance with administering medications by an experienced volunteer
  • transporting animals to and from vets, zoos or other wildlife shelters
