AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid used in modern trucks that have a selective catalytic reduction system. Using AdBlue in line with manufacturers' requirements and a catalytic converter reduces the level of oxides of nitrogen emitted from engines.
AdBlue is manufactured to meet ISO quality standards 22241-1, 2, 3 and 4. It also meets DIN70070 and CEFIC standards.
There is a separate tank for AdBlue which is generally located next to the fuel tank. Never add AdBlue directly to your fuel tank. Consult your vehicle manufacturer or vehicle’s handbook before filling up.
If you accidentally place AdBlue in your fuel tank do not drive your vehicle. Immediately contact your service agent who can assist you with vehicle towing and repair.
If diesel is included on your BP Plus card you can purchase AdBlue.
Customers can purchase AdBlue in bulk throughout the BP retail network using a BP Plus card. The commercial fuels team can also arrange bulk supply.
