One of our favourite industry events of the year was Road Transport Expo 2024 at NAEC Stoneleigh in June.
Key topics for fleet managers were discussed over the three days, including the need to provide fleets with a range of energy solutions for trucks today, as well as tomorrow.
Always looking to add convenience for customers, our network of filling and charging stations has continued to grow in 2024. bp fuel card customers are now welcomed at 1,200 UK service stations, as well as 2,200 partner stations, including Esso, Gulf and Texaco.
Truck drivers can access ~540 bunker sites specially designed for HGVs with high-speed pumps and dedicated truck lanes. For EV charging, bp Fuel & Charge Card customers can access ~40,000 charge points across the UK, with bp pulse and our roaming partners, making ours one of the UK’s largest networks. If your drivers venture further afield, they can access 30,000+ ROUTEX service stations in 32 different countries across Europe.
At the same time, we’re keeping one eye firmly on the future, as we support the global need to reduce carbon emissions. bp is perfectly placed to help develop integrated energy solutions for fleet customers across traditional fuels, EV charging and other lower-carbon transition fuels, including HVO.
bp bioenergy HVO is a renewable*, lower carbon** fuel that is chemically similar to the paraffinic components in conventional diesel and meets the paraffinic diesel fuel specification, BS EN 15940.
Our HVO is produced from renewable, waste-derived raw materials. The raw materials are hydrotreated and then further processed to produce the finished fuel. bp bioenergy HVO delivers a well-to-wheel CO2e emissions saving of at least 85% compared to fossil diesel.**
bp bioenergy HVO is already available at four forecourts in the UK: Brampton Hut (A1), Reading West Services (M4), Michaelwood North Services (M5) and Stafford Services (M6).
Our Drive Your Truck Fleet to the Future webinar took place in September. This popular event featured a panel of industry experts exploring the key trends surrounding the energy transition for fleets, and included best-practice lessons from the DHL Group’s journey to lower fleet carbon emissions.
It also featured practical tips to give attendees an understanding of the options available to help reduce fleet tailpipe emissions.
Thank you for sharing the highlights of 2024 with us. We look forward to helping you enjoy a prosperous year ahead.
