Hear how the training sessions were organised to provide information about the oil and gas industry to local fishermen.

As part of its commitment to the countries where it operates, bp has created an oil and gas 101 programme to raise awareness around the industry in Mauritania and Senegal.
 

To help bring this vision to life, bp partnered with international organisation DAI, who deliver workshops to targeted audiences including government, media and communities.

 

In Mauritania and Senegal to date, we’ve run two modules:  

 

Oil and Gas Module 1: aimed at teaching oil and gas fundamentals from exploration to production; what is LNG; what is local content   

Oil and Gas Module 2: aimed at raising awareness around regulation, legal framework and fiscal aspects of oil and gas governance.
