This week bp was recognized for a fourth consecutive year in receiving a score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBT+ workplace equality. It joins the ranks of 767 major US businesses that also earned top marks this year.
“When we talk about the importance of bringing your whole self to work, we really mean every piece of you. The continued support bp has shown to our LGBTQ+ colleagues is visible in the inclusivity of our sites around the country, but is also emphasized by our score from the Human Rights Campaign,” said Clive Christison, executive sponsor of bp Pride, the business resource group (BRG) for LGBT+ employees and allies, and SVP C&P fuel supply and midstream.
