BP employees and leaders meet with congresswoman during Helios Plaza visit

U.S. Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, D-Houston, whose district includes the Westlake campus, toured the Upstream Learning Center and the North America Gas & Power trading floor during a recent visit. Fletcher, who represents the 7th Congressional District, met with Susan Dio, chairman and president of BP America, and Orlando Alvarez, CEO of BP Energy. The tour concluded with a town hall attended by BP employees, where Fletcher answered questions about climate change, infrastructure, the energy transition and other topics. Fletcher is the first woman elected to the seat that was once occupied by George H.W. Bush.
