earnify™ FAQs

Overview

earnify™ is our NEW Loyalty rewards program replacing BPme Rewards, now offering you better savings both at the pump and inside the convenience store. We are bringing you easier savings with options! All earnify™ members receive 5 cents off per gallon every time!  

  • Earn: 1 point per dollar in fuel spend & 2 point per dollar in convenience spend  
  • Burn: Use your points the way you choose!
    • 200 points = $2 in convenience savings OR an additional 5 cent per gallon discount
  • Please note, your points will continue to accrue and remain in your earnify™ wallet until you choose to redeem them, the points will expire after 90 days of no interaction with earnify™.

Loyalty

You cannot use any other loyalty app(s) on these sites. BPme Rewards and the ampm app are no longer supported at participating earnify™ locations.

You can still be recognized as a loyalty member by entering your loyalty id (phone number) at the pump or by swiping your payment card registered to BPme and/or earnify™, you will then receive your 5cpg discount on fuel purchases. You will also now be earning 1 point per dollar spent on fuel and 2 points per dollar spent on convenience purchases.

 

Keep in mind, you MUST download and register in the new earnify™ app in order to fully experience the program and redeem your points for savings and rewards! 

The ampm app is no longer active at sites that support the new earnify™ app, the ampm app will be obsolete in the future. You will not be able to use ampm rewards in the new earnify™ app, but you will immediately receive 250 bonus points upon registering for earnify™ which gets you an immediate ampm reward or a discount on fuel!

 

Please join us as we pilot our new integrated loyalty platform where you earn 1 point per dollar spent on fuel and 2 points per dollar spent on convenience/ampm items (some exclusions apply). You will also enjoy double points for your first 90 days with earnify™. You will be able to choose how and when you redeem your points!  

We understand our consumers value the clubs in our ampm app. Don’t worry, we are working on including those in our integrated digital experience in the near future. Be on the lookout for this feature in earnify™!

BPme Rewards is not a points based program.

 

At sites supporting earnify™ you will have your earnify™ points in your mobile wallet as well as the earn and burn point opportunities.

 

Enjoy immediate savings with your 250 Bonus Points when you register, this can get you a valued item inside the store or an additional 5cpg discount off your fuel purchase!

Certainly! bp rewards Visa® cardholders will continue to enjoy 15¢ off every gallon. For additional savings on convenience store purchases and fuel, be sure to download the earnify™ app!

Registration

You can download the new earnify™ mobile app from the Apple or Google Play stores on your phone. From there, once you finish registration, you will be signed up for earnify™, and can begin saving on your bp fuel and convenience store purchases.
No, it is free join earnify™.

You will need to have a mobile phone to download the earnify™ mobile app to register for earnify™. We require all earnify™ members to have a unique phone number to ensure your account stays secure and associated to you only. We made registration easy with a one time password to login!

 

You can then choose how you interact with the program with 3 great ways to pay:

  1. Pay for fuel in the app
  2. Swipe your lined payment card at the pump
  3. Enter your Loyalty ID (phone number) at the pump

Questions Specific to the Offer

The 5 cents always on is automatically redeemed on fuel purchases at bp and amoco stations when you transact using your earnify™ app to pay for fuel, swiping a linked payment card, or entering your loyalty ID (linked phone number) at the pump.

Claim your rewards in the app:

  1. Start at the Rewards section
  2. Click on “Redeem points”
  3. View rewards options, tap on a reward for more details.
  4. To claim a reward, select “Claim” on the bottom of the screen.
    • Note if you ‘unclaim’ an item, the points will be added back to your account
  5. Scan your earnify™ wallet at the register (or enter your phone number at the pinpad). 

The receipt will show your savings applied to the transaction. Once the reward is used, you will no longer see the reward in your reward wallet.

 

In a future release, we will include a rewards history where we will show all your previous transactions which will show what rewards you have already redeemed. 

There are several ways to see your rewards history. Following each fuel purchase made using the earnify™ mobile app, you will receive a mobile receipt in your app, which will show the savings applied to the fuel purchase. Additionally, if you check the Rewards section in your earnify™ account, you can see a list of transaction history showing the amount saved on each fuel purchase. 
Occasionally, earnify™ members will receive Bonus Rewards in the form of points in your wallet. Bonus points may be the result of promotional periods, or personal interactions with earnify™. Be on the lookout for bonus rewards in the future!
You cannot currently purchase a carwash through the app, but this feature is coming soon.

At this time, you cannot pay in the convenience store on your app. Please be on the lookout for this feature coming soon. You will, however, immediately begin to accrue 2 points per $ spent on convenience items when entering your loyalty ID (phone number) that is registered to earnify™ at the pinpad.

 

You can also claim rewards in the app and then pay for them inside the store, by scanning your mobile wallet or entering your phone number at the pinpad.

General earnify™ Questions

If you are having any issues with either the earnify™ mobile app or with the earnify™ program, you can contact us HERE.
Not at this time. earnify™ is currently a pilot program launched at several bp and amoco locations.

At this time, you must have a credit card added to the earnify™ app wallet as a way to pay for fuel in the earnify™ app. The app accepts any major credit or debit card as payment methods.

 

You can still earn points and claim rewards in the app if you choose. You will have to enter your phone number at the point of sale to be recognized without using your app for payment.

To receive promotions, offers, and other information from earnify™ you will need to open your app to see any notifications or offers on your home screen and offers page. Please opt in to marketing communications to receive great offers via email and/or SMS.

earnify™ App Questions

earnify™ is currently not collecting email addresses at this time. This feature will come in the near future. 
You will not be able to change your phone number for earnify™, this feature is coming soon.
earnify™ has password-less entry. You will only need to remember the phone number associated with your account, you will then get a one time verification code to login.

The NEW earnify™ offer is now bringing more rewards to your wallet on fuel and convenience store purchases! Earn and burn your points on both fuel and convenience store spend, how and when you choose!

  1. Once at a bp station open your earnify™ app and choose your pump number.
  2. Select a fuel grade to begin fueling.
  3. We will then complete a pre-authorization with your bank and unlock your pump so that you can start fueling!
  4. When fueling is finished, return the nozzle to the pump. Once back in your vehicle, you may view your receipt directly in the app.    
earnify™ will work on iPhones (iOS) and Android phones. Visit the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to view minimum software requirements for earnify™.
The app has been designed to minimize battery usage.
The app has been designed to minimize data usage.
The price will be the same as if you were to pay at the pump or in the convenience store. Our fuel prices are displayed on the entrance to the site and at all of our pumps.

When using earnify™ to purchase fuel, you will always be charged the stated credit card price. To receive any exception prices (debit card pricing or discounts for specific credit card brands) that are locally offered by select bp stations, you can use your linked payment card to receive special pricing and qualify for earnify™.

 

It is important to note that some banking institutions will place a hold on debit cards used at the pump, if you have any questions or concerns about the hold please contact your debit card issuer. Please be aware of this before using a debit card at one of our retail sites or within the earnify™ app.

 

The app does not currently support Apple, Google, or PayPal options.

The app needs at least 3G signal to work or needs to be connected to WiFi. Alternatively, you can pay using your linked payment card or phone number associated with your earnify™ account at the pump.
Yes, you can log into earnify™ from another smartphone. For security purposes, we will send a verification code to your email address or phone number that you will be required to enter before you login on another smartphone.
A transaction can be cancelled through the app until the app has confirmed that the pump has been authorized. After that point you can cancel on the pump screen before you lift the pump handle. As a safety measure, the app will automatically cancel the transaction if you haven't lifted the pump handle within 45 seconds.
For safety, please keep your phone in the vehicle when you're filling up to avoid any distractions. Never leave the pump unattended.
If you hadn't received the message to begin fueling, your transaction may have been cancelled and your card won’t be charged (although it may have been pre-authorized so a pending transaction may appear on your bank account). The pending transaction may take up to 7 days to clear, depending on your bank. If you have any questions or concerns about holds on your account, please contact your card issuer.
Once you've finished fueling, you're good to go! You will see a transaction summary appear on your phone once you return to your car.
Your pump will be authorized for use for one minute, from the time the app says you can start fueling to the time you lift the nozzle. If you don't lift the nozzle within 45 seconds of the initial authorization, the transaction will be automatically cancelled, no money will be taken, and you will get a notification within the app.
In certain instances, individual pumps may not be available for use with earnify™. Where possible, please move to a different pump and try again. Alternatively, you can always pay with a linked payment card or phone number.
Simply use Station Finder to select your preferred station. You can then tap 'Get Directions' in either Google Maps or Apple Maps.
You will make the grade selection on the dispenser before removing the nozzle.
If you are having issues with the earnify™ app recognizing your location, verify you have location services enabled in your phone's settings. If the issue continues, please contact us at 1-800-333-3991 and a representative will assist you.
Within the earnify™ app, tap More > Settings and tap ‘Delete Account’ at the bottom of the screen. From there, click “Yes, delete my account”. Once deleted, a pop up will appear notifying you that your account has been deleted and you will be logged out of earnify™.  

earnify™ Security & Settings

If your phone is lost or stolen, call your phone operator to have it disabled or wiped. For security reasons, we do not keep your personal information or card details directly on your phone. You can always call 1-800-333-3991 if you would like your earnify™ account disabled.
To ensure that we securely check you in to the correct site, we need to confirm your location using your phone's GPS signal. We will only use your location when earnify™ is running.
By participating in and/or using earnify™ you acknowledge that your use is subject to BP’s Privacy Policy and you authorize bp to collect information about your registration and your account activity, which may include, without limitation, the items purchased, promotions redeemed, participating bp Locations visited, or any other information related to any transactions connected with earnify™, use of such information, including, without limitation, for marketing purposes. earnify™ Wallet & Payment – Linked cards

When you add a payment card to your earnify™ mobile wallet, you will get the option to Link that card to your earnify™ account. When you link a payment card, you are able to use that card for fuel purchases outside of the app, either at the fuel pump or inside the convenience store. 
earnify™ currently accepts Apple Pay and all major credit and debit cards including BP credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover. earnify™ currently does NOT accept fleet cards, gift cards, and pre-paid debit cards. bp continues to review support for additional payment options and will continue to work towards expanding payment options through earnify™. 
There is no limit to the number of payment cards that can be added to your earnify™ Mobile Wallet. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of those payment cards that can be linked to the earnify™ account, as long as it is not already linked to another earnify™ account.  

Yes. In the earnify™ App, you can select the menu icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Welcome screen:

  1. In Payment methods select the method you wish to delete.
  2. Click the “more” icon and tap “delete.”
  3. A message will appear, “Are you sure?” - tap Yes, Cancel and your card will be removed.
Yes! When you add The bp rewards Visa® credit card to your earnify™ mobile wallet, you have the option to link that card for rewards outside of the app. Anytime that bp rewards Visa® is used to purchase fuel at the pump or inside the convenience store, the fuel purchase will qualify for both the bp rewards Visa® reward and the bp reward. To qualify for both rewards, you must always swipe your bp rewards Visa®. Using your loyalty ID (phone number) at the pump will only award earnify™ and will not give your credit card rewards.
Begin by inserting your payment card first at the pump, then engage with the keypad to ensure you are receiving your BP Reward discount. Some pumps may prompt you first to select debit or credit, skip this step and swipe your card first to ensure your BP Reward discount applies.  
Not at this time. You will need to choose which payment method you’d like to use in the pay for fuel screen in the earnify™ app each time you make a purchase.  
If a payment card added to earnify™ is cancelled, your bank will decline the earnify™ transactions. If you want to continue using earnify™, you will need to add your new payment card or switch to another payment method in your earnify™ wallet. 
No, linked cards can only be linked for loyalty to one earnify™ account. Linking is performed on a first come first serve basis. If you add a payment card that is already linked to another earnify™ account you will get a message saying the card is linked to another eearnify™ account.
This means the card you added to your earnify™ wallet is already added and linked to another member’s earnify™ account and wallet. If you use that card outside the app (card swipe transaction), you will not earn points and the other account will. Don’t worry, you can still use the card in the earnify™ app and get points.
This means your card is linked to another earnify™ account and that account is earning points on transaction. To earn points on the transaction, you need to unlink the card from the original account (e.g. remove the card from wallet) and then link the card to the proper earnify account as desired. 
At this time, the earnify™ app does not accept fleet cards as a form of payment. However, you can use your phone number (Loyalty ID) that is associated with your earnify™ account at the pump or inside the store before paying with a fleet card. When your phone number is used before payment, you will automatically receive any earnify™ discounts.
Before authorizing the pump, earnify™ will check with your bank to verify the payment information. The verification check may appear on your bank account as a pending purchase. Don't worry, you will only be charged for the total amount of fuel purchased. The pending transaction may take up to 7 days to clear, depending on your bank. Please also note, when using a debit card at the pump the various banking institutions may place a hold on your account. If you have any questions or concerns about holds on your account, please contact your card issuer. 
Confirm all values are correct and try again. If you have confirmed all the information is correct, you may want to try calling your card issuer to ensure there is not an issue with your account. Typically, the customer care phone number is on the back of the credit card. To contact the earnify™ app support team, click the link HERE.
No problem! All transactions completed through earnify™ will have a mobile receipt available in the earnify™ App. 
During the pay for fuel experience, the earnify™ app requests that you confirm the pump prior to sending the selected payment information and enabling the pump in an effort to prevent app users from incorrectly selecting the pump number. bp is not responsible for any financial loss in the event that the wrong pump was selected.

Phone Number (Loyalty ID) Questions

At this time, you must register for earnify™ using the earnify™ app registration process. More ways to engage with the program are coming soon.
Loyalty ID is another way for earnify™ members to participate in earnify™ to get loyalty rewards while paying for fuel. Your Loyalty ID is the mobile phone number linked to your earnify™ account. Simply input this number before swiping your payment method at the pump or inside the convenience store when paying for fuel.
Your mobile phone number (Loyalty ID) can be used with any method of payment that is accepted at your bp or Amoco station. Credit cards, debit cards, cash, and any specialty credit products, such as fleet, can be accepted.
bp requires members to provide a unique mobile number to register for earnify™. Your mobile number is also the Loyalty ID that you can use to earn and redeem earnify™. 

Members have the choice between using their mobile phone number (Loyalty ID), pay in the app, or simply swipe a linked payment card.

 

All ways of participating will give members their 5 cents per gallon discount and point accrual explained previously. To redeem your points at the pump or in the convenience store you must use the earnify™ app to select your rewards.

You must first ensure that you have downloaded and registered in the new earnify™ app, link your phone number you wish to use and/or a linked payment card to pay directly at the pump.

 

You can then use your mobile phone number (Loyalty ID) directly at the pump, follow these steps:

  1. press “cancel”, “rewards”, or “loyalty”
  2. enter your mobile number,
  3. press “enter”
  4. Follow prompts on screen to swipe your payment method.  
To use your mobile phone number (Loyalty ID), follow the pin pad instructions. When prompted enter your mobile number (Loyalty ID) then swipe your payment method.

Price Match

The Price Match program is not currently part of earnify™.

Bank Rewards

Please check your bank/credit union’s website for more information or call the number on the back of your card.
You can redeem your bank/credit union rewards at your bp or Amoco station by swiping your eligible payment card at the pump. Select ‘Yes’ when prompted to redeem your points for $0.50 off per gallon.
