Fire extinguisher training - hands-on

Designed for onshore Operations and Maintenance employees who may, as part of their jobs, use a portable fire extinguisher.

Students participate in a fire fighting field exercise. This exercise may include extinguishing a pan fire or using a simulator.

Lessons include:

• General principles of fire.
• Hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting.
• General principles of fire extinguisher selection and use, including: Type A, Type B, and Type C.
• Fire extinguisher components.
