Working at heights - operational safety

Working at heights

Anyone exposed to a fall of six feet or more while performing work shall be protected by means of appropriate guardrail systems, fall restraint systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, or other OSHA approved system.

 

Students develop and demonstrate skills and knowledge of working at heights requirements and associated equipment through a variety of work scenarios.

Lessons include:

 

  • Fall arrest systems
  • Fall restraint systemsHarness selection, inspection and use
  • Ladder selection, inspection and use
  • Scissor lifts and aerial man lifts inspection and use
