Flora – floating innovation project

In March 2023, bp was successful in its bid to develop its innovation demonstrator floating offshore wind project off the coast of Aberdeenshire.
  • As we look to significantly build our offshore wind footprint around the world, we expect this to increasingly include floating options, and this is one exciting first step
  • This project is expected to be the first one our Aberdeen O&M centre of excellence will serve.
  • Local suppliers will also play a vital role in delivering this project and that’s why we’ve launched a dedicated online portal for them to register their interest.
