Formula One™ experience
In July 2018, bp in Hungary hosted Carlos Sainz, a Renault Sport Formula One™ driver.
Part of a Castrol Renault Sport Formula One™ experience, Carlos met with colleagues who also had the chance to get tickets to the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix 2018.
Carlos, who joined Renault Sport Formula One™ Team in October 2017, talked to us about his perspectives on career planning and continuous development, while sharing interesting insights into life as a Formula One driver. Colleagues of bp also got to test their own F1 skills and experience what it’s like to be a F1 driver - we installed a playseat and invited colleagues to have a virtual Formula One driving experience, from the safety of our Budapest and Szeged offices!
Alongside meeting Carlos and getting a taste for Formula One driving, 60 lucky bp colleagues also had the opportunity to attend the Formula One Grand Prix in Hungary.
This is the second year bp in Hungary has offered a Castrol Renault Sport Formula One™ experience to staff. In January 2017, bp and Castrol announced a partnership to support Renault Sport Formula One™ Team’s ambition to lay claim to the F1™ World Championship, which means that bp and Castrol are the official fuel and lubricants provider, through the BP Ultimate and Castrol EDGE brands.
